But once you start grow you need more network bandwith. And one pNIC is not enough. After few sec of googling I find great page <a href=\"http:\/\/www.devtty.uk\/homelab\/Want-a-USB-Ethernet-driver-for-ESXi-You-can-have-two\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DevTTY<\/a>. Where is a lot of information about &#8220;<em>supported<\/em>&#8221; USB NIC for your Intel NUC. I choose TP-LINK UE300 because I had a couple of TP-LINK (3210, 5426) switches and they are doing great job.<\/p>\n<p>So I ordered TP-LINK UE300 USB 3.0 network card. Once it was delivered to me, I connected it to the NUC. Then download the driver from&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.devtty.uk\/homelab\/Want-a-USB-Ethernet-driver-for-ESXi-You-can-have-two\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DevTTY<\/a> and upload it to one of my datastore.&nbsp; No maintenance, reboot is needed. The only thing you need to do is to change the &#8220;Host Image Profile Acceptance Level&#8221;&nbsp; to&nbsp; &#8220;Community supported&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-81\" src=\"https:\/\/vpxd.dc5.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/host-image-profile-acceptance-level-community.png\" alt=\"Host Image Profile Acceptance Level-Community\" width=\"802\" height=\"112\"><\/p>\n<p>Then just log in to the ESXi console and install VIB file with command:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\"><strong>esxcli software vib install -v \/vmfs\/volumes\/datastore1\/r8152-2.06.0-2_esxi60.vib<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-76\" src=\"https:\/\/vpxd.dc5.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/esxcli_vib_install.png\" alt=\"esxcli_vib_install\" width=\"840\" height=\"140\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>once it&#8217;s finished you can check that VIB is installed and loaded correctly by typing:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>esxcli software vib list<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>once is VIB installed you can find new pNIC in my case &#8220;vmnic32&#8221; in &#8220;Configuration&#8221; -&gt; &#8220;Network Adapters&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-77\" src=\"https:\/\/vpxd.dc5.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/vmnic32.png\" alt=\"vmnic32\" width=\"358\" height=\"104\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Intel NUC is the best piece of HW for HOME mini-LAB.
